The flavors were just perfect. Nothing overdone in terms of spices. It's exactly what your grandmother would make. Food that you eat, and walk away feeling like a sated child. The drinks didn't really hit the spot (I had the Rose Spritz). The service was good, but could have been a little better. Highly recommend!
First time at Tagmo. Really enjoyed the food overall. Some traditional maharastran options (sabudana vada) were delicious. Pomegranate eggplant was incredible. Delhi Butter Chicken was mediocre. Masala Chai was lukewarm. Unforutnately, service was far less than stellar. The team seemed very understaffed for a saturday night. Had to ask for water, was never asked about additional cocktail options, menu was nearly grabbed out of my hands at one point. Could be a fantastic spot given food potential...
Food was alright they really need to up their game overall to deserve a Michelin. We ordered chaat, chili noodles, ajwain paratha, butter chicken. First, I also wanted masala fries and they said “we are strict about serving this only to kids”…duh! Second, they tell me after taking my order that ajwain paratha is not available…so why take the order and have it on the menu that you’re publicising as “this is the first day of the new menu”? Shouldn’t you have food on the first day of the new menu that is actually available? Third, after taking my order a guy just came and starting taking the second plate in front of me when they already knew i was waiting for someone to join me for dinner; had to stop him. Fourth, the chaat was some chaat but def not delhi chaat as on the menu. Fifth, plates weren’t changed between starters and main course, nor were side plates provided for breads. Sixth, the guy beside me was served warm beer in a warm glass…lol SO much to improve to be a good service restaurant, let alone be a Michelin star
Charming little place in the seaport with a super eclectic, innovative menu. The food was sensational, just the right amount of heat, a melody of flavor, and served family style. The service could not have been nicer or more friendly or helpful. We will definitely be back!
Great place for brunch! they serve a shortened menu. I would recommend the paos, they are really buttery and soft and have a heavenly bite. mimosas are also beautiful!
