We ordered the pork and caramelised onion pie and the scallop pie. The crust was perfectly flaky, and the fillings were rich and flavourful. The scallop pie had tender scallops in a creamy sauce, offering a delightful mix of textures and tastes. The pork and caramelised onion pie had a savoury-sweet filling with tender pork and rich onions, making it a perfect combination.
I came to visit for the first time as a tourist. I find it very unique in style as it is to be. There were many choices of pie displayed and wished can buy all to try. Surely, I must try their scallop pie. I also bought vanilla Slice, quiche and apple strudel. All these are based on their own unique taste of recipes. The apple strudel was made with a big chunk of apple cubes, thin crust. First time trying vanilla Slice, not too sweet and with custard. Quiche was good with baked eggs and bacon inside. As it is in Phillip Island, the outside atmosphere matche the surrounding scenery.
We went here for the scallop pie and while there my daughter got a “steak and cheese pie” and we got a choc chip muffin to share. The scallop pie was quite tasty It contained no shortage of scallops and was structurally sound. It may just be me but I felt it needed more salt. On the whole it was a good pie. I would go back! The “steak” and cheese however, much to my daughter’s displeasure was actually mince meat, not steak as advertised. I know that is quite common but if I ordered a steak dinner I don’t expect a bowl of mince. Call it how it is. The muffin too was very dry Not at all pleasant to eat.
Everything is on the pricier side but you can’t expect it not to be due to where it’s located. The coffee is nothing special but the vanilla slice is absolutely delicious! The steak, bacon and cheese pie is something I also recommend. Served very fast by lovely staff. Service: Take out Meal type: Breakfast
Been eating here since it opened, but now since they've hiked all their prices up I won't be coming back. Local tradies like me just want a decent meal at a good price. Almost 7 bucks for a pie is going to far. Cheaper to get a big burger than 2 pies. Can't even get my kids food from here now without costing heaps. Sucks, the influx of holiday season visitors means they can charge what they want, but screws the locals. I hope they reduce their prices for the winter.
