A little strange restaurant as stated in previous reviews, but there were many veggie/ vegan options. I wouldn't say it's the best Chinese I had, but it was pleasant! the employees were not great to answer our questions and caused some strange interactions, but were still friendly.
Here the first thing we noticed was the decoration; many aquatic art and fluorescent lights. then the luck machines hid in a back space through the toilets, coupled with an art sales area in another corner. once sitting we asked about the vegan options and were told that most of the veggie menu could be made vegan. So we chose two Tofu dishes, early rolls and a spinach bowl. they were really very nice who surprised us when considering the impression that the building had given. the whole accompaniment comes together to make a very peculiar but quite delicious culinary experience. I would prefer this type of character to a restaurant as a biscuit cutter, boring and mouth look from many chain restaurants. So I'm all for it!
Pros: Good vegan options; Personalized service; Good quality food; Near movie theater. Cons: Owner promotes her music, which gets monotonous Updated from previous review on Wednesday July 22, 2015
Although they do have the word vegan on the menu, I didn't get the feeling that they were very vegan friendly. I ordered a tofu curry and they came out with chicken, I had to send it back. Also, my husbands dish, the eggplant bowl, tasted fishy. Plus, it consisted of a LOT of tofu and not much eggplant. To be fair we didn't ASK if that dish was vegan, but they knew we were vegan. Also the soup was not vegan and that usually comes with the meal. The tofu curry I got, after they took the chicken dish back, turned out to be delicious though. It came with lots of fresh crispy veggies and sweet potato tempura which was delicious. Not sure if the sweet and sour sauce that came with it was vegan though. I would totally go back and get the tofu curry and tempura again, but I will have a hard time getting my husband back in there after that eggplant/tofu/fishy meal.
