Blackies By The Sea - Newport Beach

If you're in Newport and haven't visited Blackies, you really haven't experienced Newport. Make sure to stop by as soon as possible! It's a fantastic spot to enjoy a drink between your ocean swims.

This is a fantastic beachfront “dive” bar, used in the most respectful and admiring way possible.

We hadn't visited this place in years, so my wife and I decided to check it out again. The atmosphere was fantastic, the service was friendly, and we even made some new friends while we were there. It's a wonderful spot to relax and hang out when you're in Newport.

An iconic local bar in Newport, with views and sand and surfing of NB. Surfing here since I was a hain and came to this diving bar for decades! It's dark and some call it a dive, I call it home. Large flat-screen TV overlooking the bar, 20 beers on tap, crazy good cocktails and the kindness bartenders, I think of a dozen bar tools overlooking the bar and a few tables. Two pool tables in the back area. Eating? I think sprinkling and picky eggs for appetizers. Come in and take a historic Newport Beach iconic tavern. Oh and they have a live webcam on their website with up to the second surf!!

Very original place. The young man was really attentive. The girl needs better people skills. Apart from that, we enjoyed our beers and pool table.
