Jersey Mike's Subs - Newport Beach

This restaurant has typically been quite good, but I’ve noticed a decline in quality since the pandemic. The meat appears to be sliced thinner than usual, the mayonnaise lacks flavor, and the vinegar tastes more like malt instead of red wine vinegar. It’s disappointing, especially since I really enjoyed their sandwiches, but I have to be honest about my experience.

I had a negative experience with one of the rudest employees I've ever encountered. I had to wait over 10 minutes for the manager to come out of the bathroom, as it seemed he was taking a break in there. The cashier, a young girl, was disrespectful to my friend. When he asked her if she could be polite while she repeatedly told him in a bossy manner to remove his card, he simply asked if she could say "please." She responded with a firm "No" and shook her head while laughing. I told her that this wasn't a joke and that it was a serious matter, but she replied, "I don't care."

This Jersey Mike's location is fantastic! The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the food is delicious! I find myself coming here regularly on Mondays or Wednesdays for my favorite, the #55 Big Kahuna Chicken Cheese Steak. It's absolutely amazing! It helps me power through my long days of school and work!

The subs here are fantastic, but I've had my order messed up 8 out of 10 times. I really have to keep an eye on what they put on my sub, or it's almost guaranteed to be wrong.

I had a really unpleasant experience during lunch today with the store manager and a young cashier who was quite rude. The cashier didn’t even try to be polite—she shook her head in disdain and refused to say "please" at all. The manager was equally unhelpful; he had no reason for taking ten minutes in the bathroom while we waited to speak with him and seemed indifferent to our concerns. Ultimately, we decided to return our food and leave, promising ourselves we wouldn’t return. It’s disheartening to see such negative attitudes, especially in Newport Beach, California. My friend was particularly upset by the whole experience.
