Hartford Giant Grinder - Niantic

Portions DOUBLE the size of similar restaurants serving small and large grinders made with fresh, perfectly proportioned, meats, cheeses, and condiments. I suggest the Thanksgiving grinder; but order early because they sell out often, only making so much freshly baked turkey every morning. The prices are a little on the expensive side but like I said you get a HUGE proportion.

I wrote a review 3 years ago and gave it 3 stars, and visited today and I have no idea why I’d do that. The Philly steak and cheese was delicious!

If you want a real loaded grinder this is the place.Had a capicola grinder and it had more meat on it than i have ever seen . And it was good quality. For some reason they didnt have provolone so I substituted it with mozzarella--I survived!

Great sandwiches and grinders with a great selection. You won't be hungry after for sure. They don't skimp on anything.

This place is a staple at our house. I should preface this by saying my husband grew up on Hamilton Market. At one point we even did a comparison taste test and got one capicola grinder from Hamilton and one from HGG. HGG was made better in our opinion. We have yet to have a capicola grinder compare. I will say if you don't call ahead to order you may be waiting for a bit and depending on the day make sure you call early because they may run out of things and close up shop early that's the only reason for the 4 stars but overall the food is delish and the owners are so very friendly!
