Wawa - NOKOMIS

We were in town from the Philadelphia, PA area (not far from Wawa corporate headquarters in Delaware County) for a friends wedding in Venice Beach FL on June 23rd. So imagine our surprise when we saw a WAWA convenience store! We want to personally thank the front counter worker, Kimberly, for a wonderful positive customer experience on our late night Wawa run! She did hand us a survey code to enter to in free hoagies for a year but sadly we had to respond within 5 days.

This can be the most painful Wawa in the area at times. The food selection is what you would expect at any other Wawa. The management and leadership is the real issue here. The food prep area is often understaffed in the mornings. The check out area can be a mess anytime for example the line has to be to the beer wall before another cashier is brought up. The place is near a beach and boat ramp...get the picture already! If you order ahead on the app they don't put the food on the marked rack, they leave it sitting behind the counter and you have to ask. They sell non ethanol gas, but this is not an easy place to bring a trailer because people park at the pumps and go inside jamming it up.

I’ve gone to this establishment 3 times this week, ordered the same exact dinner and got 3 different prices? No one in the store could explain why and they didn’t even try. They just shrugged their shoulders. They haven’t had french fries for a week and they were not too apologetic about that either. These people know me, I tip them very well and in-spite of not getting a thank you most of the time I do it anyway to try and help. Yet they could care less if a good customer is being overcharged? WAWA explain why your prices fluctuate every day? And the place is getting dirty outside and in the vestibule area. No one seems to care.

This morning my husband and I were broken down with a flat tire since around 3am waiting for AAA to come, and I'm low on funds and the girl working making drinks and the other preparing food bought me a coffee! I'm so grateful, bc I'm so exhausted waiting for my towel truck to come! They were extremely nice and kind paid for my coffee with their own money!!! Thank you ladies!
