We had just our jubilee dinner at sails as we have in the last few years and it was quite disappointing. Eating and service was definitiw not the fine culinary special experience we use to feel when it is here dining room. some dinge on the menu. were good. but not astonishing as we had in the past and the netzen esp the disappointing was so disappointing likely to eat near really unpleasant. like a piece roasted duck with caesar salat flavored salad leaf! so strange? with a $300 bill for a few drinks appetiser and net. Definitiw not the fine kitchen that it used to be known.
Exemplary. eating is beautifully presented, the service is excellent and yet relaxed. the only one is to book well in advance.
Sails restaurant today offers excellent service and incredible food and wine with a stunning view. lunchtime restaurants offers exquisite views of the bay of laguna and the beach and all fun and frivolity of the beach goers. absolutely fabulous dishes included fraser coast prawns, 3 cheese soufflé,...ton bay bugs and chocolate pavlowa. an extensive international wine list to choose from. the personal was personal and fulfilled all expectations. a not to miss experience.
There's no Michelin guide in Australia but if there was, then Sails deserves a star or two. We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance and haven't stopped talking about the food and our dining experience. What stood out for us is the seasonal menu that...boasts quality ingredients sourced from local and interstate producers who are clean, organic and ethically focused. Head chef Paul Leete's early years tutelage under top chefs in Europe, shines through in the dishes on offer. Highly recommend you try the charred ciabatta with house smoked trout butter and also the zucchini flower if you're ordering appetisers. The toothfish sourced from sub-Antarcric waters for one of your entrées, then either the ton Bay bug or grassfed eye fillet that was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and just melted onto the tastebuds. Good luck fitting in dessert. We'll definitely be returning to try the other dishes.
