I have quite a few things I would like to say, but for the sake of constructive criticism to the owner, I have some suggestions: My husband and I stayed in the English room. The bed was not comfortable. I was promised a full refund on my stay due to some cleanliness issues, and Tracy was not communicative. She was friendly, but stopped replying to my messages after a few weeks. I generally went at least a month between messages, so it?s not like I was being demanding. I finally had to go dispute the charge through Visa 110 days later. Overall, your staff is very friendly. The breakfast was very good. The place has lots of potential. A little paint and some updated decorations maybe a higher quality coffee in the hallway would go a long way. My biggest frustration was the lack of follow through.
We drove from Arizona to visit our daughter and her family. We stayed in the pine cone cottage and it was great. It was like we had our own little house for 6 nights. In the cottage they have a menu with 6 breakfast choices. We tried each one and they were all good. You can request a specific time to have your breakfast (which is included in your stay) brought to you and the woman who brought ours was very nice and cheerful. We highly recommend this Inn.
We shared dinner with special friends and the food was delectable and the service was outstanding. We love Whispering Pines!
Whispering Pines Restaurant is a quaint dining establishment just east of Norman. It is truly a hidden gem. The interior offers a romantic setting for couples or somone just wanting to celebrate the company of friends or family. During out visit, we met the owner Dawn, who so was delightful and even made accommodations for my food allergies. The food was outstanding. The steak and salmon were cooked to perfection. And the creative recommendation of adding capers to compliment my salmon was spot on. The desert did not didssapoint. The creme brulee' was lightly sweet with a delectable caramelized sugar top. The addition of fresh berries created a fresh twist for a classic dish. Be sure to check out the Koi Pond and the beautiful scenery around the resturant and on-site Bed Breakfast.
I made a reservation for 6 pm on Saturday, July 23 for 4. We arrived and it appeared that they were setting up for a wedding. No one was at the desk, but a gentleman appeared and asked what we needed. We told him we have a reservation, and he looked stunned. No reservation has been made for you and we are setting up for a wedding. When I did talk with the person who I had made the reservation with, her response was can I rebook the reservation ? Well no, we drove all the way out here for dinner and now you want to know if you can rebook us. I will never go there again.
