Absolutely unbelievable place!!! This is my paradise
Wonderful place. Truly excellent ice cream and the place to go if you have a candy hankering. Chocolates are equally fantastic. Service was great.
These are my favorite cherry cordials EVER! I ran a little experiment for myself this past Valentine's Day and ordered cherry cordials from all over. Mrs. Cavanaugh's were the BEST cherries and the BEST dark chocolate! Perfectly balanced, gorgeous package, well done all around!
Upon landing in Utah (literally, I came directly from the airport), I visited Mrs. Cavanaugh's Chocolate Factory. It's super fun and educational, and only $5! As part of the tour, you also receive a $4 voucher to buy anything after the tour. So it only ends up really costing $1! The tour lasts between 30 minutes 1 hour and includes chocolate and ice cream samplings. We started with an educational video detailing bean to bar, and then looked into the factory, watching the chocolate making process. My favorite part of the tour was watching the hand dipping process, which is a traditional method. I sampled a raspberry creme truffle, raw chocolate, milk chocolate, and the Mandy mint ice cream. After the tour, I purchased a Turtle Easter egg (3 oz, $6.99) for my grandfather and was even able to get it personalized on the spot for free. I also purchased some peanut clusters with funky faces (price by weight, cost roughly $0.90 each) There's a cool kids world section where lots of small bags of candies are only $1 each. Their prices are very reasonable for both chocolates and ice cream scoops. I called ahead one day in advance to RSVP for a tour. Since it was just me, I was able to get scheduled in easily. But if you are scheduling a larger group, I'd recommend calling in earlier than that. There is a ton of free parking available. If you need to wait around too, there is a table, chairs, and even 2 sofas to wait on. All the staff are so kind and informative. Lovely first stop in Utah!
