This restaurant is a great service station and is extremely convenient as a pit stop between York and Scotland. In addition to a petrol station and convenience store, they also have a Greggs and a Burger King with toilets, which was a great bonus. The staff at Greggs were fantastic, very friendly and the food was great. They offer a variety of food and drink options, making it a perfect place to refuel on a road trip. The added bonus of having a Travelodge hotel on site is also a great convenience.

This restaurant is the most disgusting, foul, unhygienic place I have ever visited. Despite traveling 40,000 miles per year, I have never encountered anything like this before. The restroom facilities were shared, with men using the cubicles next to women and girls. There was urine all over the floor, and the toilets were uncomfortably close to a bakery. It was shocking to see people actually eating and drinking in this disgusting environment.

This service area could easily win an award for the worst service area in the UK. During our recent visit, we noticed some cautionary advice for those using the toilets. Despite the motorway signs indicating the availability of facilities, once inside we only saw a Burger King and Greggs, both of which were small and outdated. The decor was old and there was minimal seating. The choice at Greggs was limited and the queues were long, so we ultimately chose Burger King. The staff were unwelcoming and directed us to ordering machines. The food was average but had an excessive amount of mayo. The toilets were not well-maintained, with hand washing facilities inside the cubicles and faulty dryers outside. My female companion found the women's toilets to be disgusting. As someone with a medical condition, I used the disabled facilities which were slightly better, although the alarm cord was positioned in a way that would be difficult to reach in case of an emergency. Overall, this service area is pretty dismal and it is best to avoid stopping here.

Duty manager served me , not very approachable, no smile or good morning, waited less than 10 mins which was ok for my order ,had to ask for suger and salt as none around and wasnt asked if i needed any , 1 order machine out of order . Not a very clean shop , wibdows were rotten , funny smell to the place , drainy smell in toilets Wont be returning

Burger King at these servuces are appalling. Food is warm at best and it needs shut down!!!! Macdonalds is just along the road which is way better. Customer service is appalling l. The o ly way that place has got 5 stars on the door is they have had prior warning , if head office or food standards just showed up they wiuld be shocked!
