Devine Cakes Cafe - Nottingham

We submitted a detailed design for our son's birthday cake and sent an email with all the information in advance as a precaution. Unfortunately, the primary color of the cake was changed from blue to green without notifying us, and we only discovered this on the day we picked up the cake. The bakery mentioned that the new color would better complement the decorations, but this was not what was discussed beforehand. This was a significant alteration, not a slight deviation based on artistic interpretation. Additionally, while the decorations were lovely, the cake itself was subpar. We will be selecting a different bakery for future events.

Absolutely delicious, fluffy, light and moreish birthday cake. Usually after cake you can feel a little sickly or like you've over indulged, but this cake was simply satisfying and not stodgy or overly sweet. The design on top was peppa pig and it was done really well. My husband bought my 30th birthday cake from here a couple of years ago, and the quality was exactly the same then. I don't know how they make the sponge so light, but I'd like to for sure! I'd definitely recommend

Ordered a 14inch cake for my mum’s birthday. Options to personalise colours and choose different flavours in cake. It was ready for me to pick up on the day and it was really nice and light vanilla sponge everyone loved it. Would definitely order from again.

Had 2 cakes made for my mum and nan, wasn't too sure on what I wanted and they were more than happy to help me with choosing the perfect designs. The cakes were beautiful and couldn't of asked for anything more. The buttercream was so fresh and the sponge was perfect with the right amount of cream and jam. Thank you Katie for all your advice and my whole family loved it and was a perfect birthday for them.

I am amazed by the cakes and authentic desserts available at this restaurant. The quality of the cakes is outstanding, whether it's a simple rice or sponge cake. The staff are friendly and genuine, and the prices are reasonable. I recently ordered a birthday cake and it was of excellent quality. The options for customization are vast and the final product both looked and tasted remarkable. I have a sweet tooth, but often find sugar icing to be too much. However, for my son's 6th birthday, I had no problem devouring 2.5 slices of delicious chocolate cake. It was sweet without being overpowering, perfect for both kids and adults. I will definitely be returning for coffee and snacks, as well as for any future celebration cakes I may need. Don't hesitate to try this place out, you won't be disappointed.
