If you come to O Grove for a seafood platter, this is a top spot. We had been recommended this place to eat seafood platters and listening to the conversation about a good seafood platter in the middle of the street, a countryman recommended this restaurant to us again. We booked for 4 adults and a child, the same day about two hours before. The dining room is on the first floor with views of the catamaran jetty. The attention is very good and familiar. For four adults we ordered two seafood platters and the child had a first course of chips with breaded chicken breast, which was more than enough. All great, I highlight the cockles and the ox, the rest is also exquisite. If you order wine, ask for a house bottle and not individual glasses as it is more expensive. The great homemade desserts, I highlight the apple pie and the cheese pie.
We ordered a combination plate of beef, entrecote, hake, padron peppers and a grilled seafood. They were 79 euros. The only downside was that the grilled prawns were very dry.
Good cleaning between client and client, we had to wait a bit, we were 4 and 5 dogs, on the terrace and without disturbing. More than enough space between tables. The food was all very good, fried fish, steamed mussels, scallops and since there was no octopus a feira, two servings, we had one again at the end. It came out for €80 with two thirds of Mahou and two large bottles of water. To make a small drawback, the fried squids, with the type of batter that they had, give the impression that they are not good, but then they were good. The attention of the waiters correct. We will repeat another year.
It is a restaurant in the port, with good views and in the center of the city. The quality of the portions is good. Although the Galician octopus was quite sparse and with almost no potatoes. The homemade squid croquettes were very good and the scallops too. We ordered padrón peppers and a very good albariño at a very good price. Highly recommended if you are going to dine without a reservation because it has a very large restaurant on the second floor.
