The restaurant has a fantastic ambiance and we were informed that it can get very crowded, but we happened to visit on a quiet Sunday evening so the waiter was very attentive.
I was taken aback by the abundance of negative reviews. Personally, I had a great experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was really cool and the service was top-notch. It was also quite peaceful...
Exactly what Oakville needs, cocktails, wine and simple but delicious food. Great place for a date or catching up with old friends. Highly recommended
Unsure about where to eat, while visiting Oakville and with the two of us having very different tastes - we couldn't decide/agree on a place for dinner. We just happened by Maluca and saw a menu in the window. It was perfect for the both of us! They had food that appealed from the meat eater to the vegetarian. The atmosphere is great, too. Candle light with a funky, eclectic, clean rustic - almost romantic décor. The menu it is a limited menu; but, just the right amount of choices for everyone. Even with it being a smaller menu, I had a hard time deciding between a few different items; but, the server pointed me in the right direction and she was right, the muscles were fantastic! Also very knowledgeable about the wine and beer. My husband had the burger and he enjoyed it, too. The staff was great, very attentive. It was quieter when we got there; but, filled-up pretty quickly - but not so busy that you couldn't move or hear - just the perfect amount of busy for the dinner hour. I am so glad we happened upon this place. I would definitely recommend you give this place a try.The menu prices are pretty reasonable, too. The only confusing part was finding the entrance - and I noticed we weren't the only ones who it took a minute to find. Go down the alley to your left - you will see to large urns/planters at the alley entrance. Once you do find the entrance, it makes this place even more cooler and eclectic! They just need better signage to get you in the door.
