But clearly the new cook in this luxury property has no interest in cooking with plants. The service was wonderful, eager and really happy. Hummus course was Bland, grilled sweet potato base, mushrooms over salted, Chile Relleno course was prepared with a dried passila, bitter and unedible. Finally, the black mole was a complete catastrophe: extremely sweet, without heat or smoke, none of the subtleties that this regional court should have. The positive reviews of this restaurant come from the past – and the loss of an innovative vegan restaurant in a food capital is something to mourn. Not as good as possible!
Wonderful place to enjoy creative and unique meals. Right in the heart of Oaxaca city, this no name Restaurant offers an escape from noise, crowds and typical food. Of course the ingredients are local but the meals have a Oaxacan gourmet style. I tried the Salmon Tataki which had kimchi, starfruit and corn miso. The taste was fantastic if you like the mix of these ingredients. I had the Black out Chocolate for dessert and it was so delicious, perfect balance between semi dark chocolate and Greek yogurt. The original one includes peanuts on top but I asked them if I could do without or change it, so it came with pistachios instead. Nice treat. The waiters were super nice, helpful smiley and knowledgeable about their meals and drinks. The place has a small swimming pool that you can enjoy for a reasonable cover. The restrooms are so clean, beautiful and fancy. I would be more than happy to come back.
