Baeren - Oberaegeri

We have family that live in oberageri so we called here for a Saturday evening meal when on a visit. the staff were nice and friendly on arrival and even though the waitress we had spoke only a little English she explained the menu perfectly. the soup was given a 10/10 by all who had it. the entrecote steak was beautifully tender and perfectly cooked. a good selection of wine rounded off a great meal. our glasses were never left empty with attentive service.

We went to Restaurant Baren with some friends. I must say that the atmosphere and the service in the restaurant is really nice. In all honesty I think that I was a bit unlucky, because my starter (salad) was not washed and therefore had still sand in it. The waitress dealt very swiftly with the issue and offered for a different meal, which I declined, and in the end I also didn't have to pay for my starter. The main corse was lovely (veal) but it costs a whooping 55 CHF, which I think is a bit too pricy. Anyway, it was good and I choose it knowing that it would costs that. The pasta from my wife was overcooked. Altogether, this experience was just average, but I will definitely give it another chance as it was a lovely night out.
