The food was excellent, my mother and I shared a couple of their things, and including a crab roll that I loved (I'm not a big fan of crab rolls usually). The prices were also very reasonable, considering how expensive seafood is now.
Lobster rolls: I probably only have one or two a year, so I strive to choose wisely for every lobster roll I order. I read a bunch of reviews regarding the best lobster rolls in Ogunquit, since I knew that's where we'd be for one afternoon. Didn't takelong for me to realize that the Lobster Shack was the best choice. It's a family-run place, same owners for the last 35 years,so they know exactly what they're doing. I arrived at noon, so there was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly, and soon placedmy order. And I ordered a double, which is twice the lobster (8 oz! . Why? The one thing everyone says, having finished theirlobster roll, is that they wish there were more. A double solves that. Yes, it's expensive, but it was easily the best lobsterroll I've ever had, and you don't ever forget wise decisions. It was as briny-sweet fresh, and tasted like a dream of summer, and I absolutely will buy one the next time I visit the area.
Parking is difficult at Perkins Cove Lunch is no frills Had the lunch special lobster roll with clam chowder and twin lobster
Got lobster roll classic (cold with Mayo sauce) and hot with butter. Also got chowder. Definitely a reco but it?s pricey because it?s lobster. That said, the portions were solid.
Of all the lobsters we ate on our 10 day tour of the Atlantic NE, Lobster Shack was the best! Our lobsters weren't boiled until we ordered them. There weren't many places to sit and none were in the shade on a day that was in the 90s. There were somevolunteers policing the parking lot to make sure people didn't stay too long. A popular stop for a reason. Don't miss the shack!
