Hideaway Pub - OLD LYME

The fried Calamari was a little chewing about chef. The Marinosauce was sweet. The main dishes looked fabulous.... unfortunately, the meal was rather a dessert than a main course. The filled flounder was filled with crab plugs with SUGAR!! Covered with a cream cherry sauce with too much SUGAR. my dish, scallops, shrimps and vegetables was sweet. The red cherry peppers were much too sweet, the 2 scallops and 4 shrimps were good, the rest of the dish remained in the dish.

Food is ok, cocktails are awful. Tried here twice now, both times the cocktails were terrible. I really wanted to like it.

I went to the bathroom and came back only to find my fish meal was gone! I had at least a half a meal left, so it wasn't like I was nearly done. They didn't replace my meal. Unbelievable. BTW, I recently (today) was told by someone who went there that they didn't have the same quality food as they used to and a rodent was even spotted in the restaurant.

Very cozy. Personable service! The seafood dishes are very good. Seems to be an unknown spot. Not busy, but should be! Clean and comfortable dining.

It was our first time here and it was a wonderful find! It was cozy, and the food appealing to your eye!! It was very good and we'll definitely return!!
