Although there is no gluten-free menu, the staff is well-informed about alternative options. In fact, when bread was brought to the table, they kindly provided me with a rice cake instead.
The owners of the Barefoot restaurant opened this establishment in 2014. The ambiance is reminiscent of a beach setting, with beautiful views. Although there is no gluten-free menu available, the staff is knowledgeable about alternative options. They even brought me a rice cake instead of bread when it was served at the table.
I had dinner with my family at this restaurant and the atmosphere was great! When I inquired about gluten-free options, the waitress asked me to provide three choices and she would check with the chef. I chose the shrimp, grouper, and smoked salmon from the menu. I requested the sauce on the side and no veggies (due to my allergy to bell peppers). The meal was tasty but I didn't feel completely confident about the safety of eating here. There was a small red item (possibly a red pepper or tomato) in my dish that was not supposed to be there. Overall, the food tasted good but I was a bit uncomfortable with the safety precautions. I believe the staff would benefit from more training on handling food allergies, as my experience at their other restaurant was much better.
The service and ambiance at this restaurant are amazing. The food is fresh and prepared to perfection. I highly recommend it.
I attended a rehearsal dinner at this restaurant as a guest, but my family had dined here for a regular gluten-free meal before and was eager to return. The staff at the event was extremely attentive, with someone specifically designated to identify family members with celiac disease and ensure that we were informed about our dietary options. Gluten-free toast was brought to my seat with oil, although it wasn't the best gluten-free bread, it was still enjoyable, especially when dipped in the ceviche liquid on my plate. Throughout the meal, both safe and unsafe items were clearly identified. The food was exceptional, with something available for every course, including alternate gluten-free dessert options. I am still thinking about the delicious pineapple carpaccio with sorbet, even though I don't normally eat pineapple. Overall, I have heard great things about dining at this restaurant, and I was very impressed with the level of care and variety of options offered for events.
