Chek Point - Ottawa

A group of us went to this restaurant before a hockey game and were very disappointed by the poor service and food quality. The food was terrible; the chicken strips were like cheap supermarket chicken nuggets, my friend's sandwich was cold, and the wing sauce was terrible. The server never came back to check on our meals and brought our bills back with errors. My bill had an extra $18 charge on it, and when she offered to fix it, her sarcastic response was unappreciated. It took her 15 minutes to return, only to be rude and overly sarcastic. We will not be returning to this restaurant. It was a very unpleasant experience.

The televisions at this restaurant are nice, but the service is poor. I visited on June 18th for a drink before the Heart Concert and they were playing a World Cup game on TV. The place was packed with lots of people eating, but we were at the bar where there were over 100 people and 30+ waiting for drinks. There were only two bartenders working hard to serve everyone. The place was severely understaffed and a glass of wine and a rum and coke (which turned out to be rye) cost $18. I don't plan on returning until I hear that management is better prepared to handle guests. The restaurant has clearly lost sight of good customer service.
