I also found it disappointing that rice was not included, as it is not a costly ingredient.
The restaurant offers great value for money with generous portions and efficient service. I visited with my mother and we both opted for the lunch special priced at $14, which included soup, egg rolls, and a main dish. The food was delicious and we particularly enjoyed the egg rolls, although we wished they were larger. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very quiet, possibly too quiet for some. Some background music could help enhance the overall dining experience.
I ordered Thai Chicken Curry before from another place for take out, but here I found the portion to fill less than half the take-out container. Totally unsatisfactory!!! For close to $18 an order and such a small portion... NEVER AGAIN. The taste was all there and good. The Chicken Pad Thai was also cooked well, and the portion slightly better. Unfortunately the competition wins this time.
Would recommend their chicken pad Thai and any kind of soup!
Like other reviewers, I found this restaurant to be on the pricier side, but not more so than other similar restaurants I have visited since the pandemic. The food was delicious! I ordered the chicken basil sauce dinner (Pad Bai Gaprow) which came with two vegetable spring rolls that were also very tasty. I requested mine to be made 'medium' spicy and it had just the right amount of heat. My daughter ordered a curry dish 'hot' and found it to be quite spicy, even making her nose run. There is an option to order 'extra hot' for those who enjoy even more heat. Next time, I would probably opt for 'hot' as I do enjoy spicy food and could have handled more heat in my meal. The portions were generous as we both ended up only eating half of our dinners and took the rest home (which provided two more meals for my daughter!). We also indulged in dessert, the deep fried bananas with ice cream was delicious! It's worth noting that this dish isn't overly sweet, so if you prefer a sweeter option, ask for honey on the side. The server (possibly the owner) was friendly and maintained a safe social distance. The website indicates they are 'closed/open for takeout' so it seems they may have recently started welcoming dine-in guests. The restaurant wasn't crowded, which suited us perfectly. We enjoyed the ambiance as well.
