We called ahead to make a reservation and were impressed by the inviting menu with a good mix of meat and vegetarian options. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food - the ginger beef was outstanding, and the chicken and rice dishes were on par with those we've had in Ottawa. My wife enjoyed the pad Thai, and the portion sizes were generous enough for her to have leftovers for lunch the next day. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. I would give this place a 4.5 out of 5 - really good. We will definitely be returning.
My wife, my mom, and I went to OpenRice Asian Kitchen for lunch. I must say, the prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are generous. The atmosphere is friendly overall. However, it did take quite some time for our food to be ready, even though there were only a few tables of customers in the restaurant. The food is a fusion of Canadian and Asian styles, which I found interesting. If you haven't been before, it's worth giving it a try.
Wow, what a treat! I would give their dishes a perfect score of 10 out of 10. We have visited this restaurant three times in the past two weeks and what truly stands out is the food, the service, and the ambiance. The Cashew Chicken was exceptional with every bite being the perfect size and the searing flavor of the wok making it incredibly delicious. The Orange beef, Thai chicken, and crispy pork spring rolls were all simply amazing. It has been a decade since we have tasted food this authentic. The servers were very polite and constantly checked in on our experience to ensure everything was satisfactory. The ambiance was a surprise as the exterior did not reflect the cozy and inviting interior of the restaurant. What a hidden gem!
Fast and helpful service and good food at reasonable prices. Mainland Chinese food like spicy diced chicken was prepared in an authentic way. There are also Asian fusion selections such as Pad Thai. Favourites like eggplant are flavourful and tender but not overcooked. The same goes for bok choy. The dine-in option will provide better presentation than take out. Complies with all COVID-19 pandemic precautions (vaccine passports, hand sanitizer, masks when not seated and dining).
I've been coming here since this place first opened up My fav dish that I get pretty much every time I come in are the Singapore vermicelli noodle dish which is made with turmeric and the pad thai(vegetarian) The vermicelli noodles are great, they have a strong taste of the turmeric and spices and the sesame seeds in the dish really enhance those flavours. For the pad Thai I asked for it to be made with the peanut sauce instead of the oyster sauce, this adds a bit of a sweetness to the dish and I find it makes it a little creamier than just the normal pad Thai which is slightly dryer.
