Country Ham Restaurant - Owensboro

Good old American restaurant the best kind. I love this place we ordered take out the burger was fantastic and the fries tasted great. I have not been in there since COVID so I do not know if it has changed :

Dont hesitate to come and eat at Country Ham. It is absolutely delicious, home-cooking at it's best. It will simply be difficult to decide what NOT to eat, and you will go home full, happy and satisfied to your soul. Plus, you will have made a few friends, and felt like the welcome company you are. If that isnt nice, I dont know what is.

Simple food, but they get it right. Clean and friendly. It's rare to find a place that actually uses red ripe tomatoes on sandwiches instead of the barely pink tasteless water flavored tomatoes. This alone gets the 5 stars.

From Michigan visiting family, my sister-in-law mentioned Country Ham Restaurant so I said lets try it out. I ordered clam chowder and fish dinner, clam chowder was luke warm and had virtually no clams, should have been called potato soup, fish on the other hand was hot and very delicious. Our waitress was very pleasant. Would I come back again? Sure.

Service was good but wasn't let know that when I ordered I had to ask for the plate lunch to get the whole meal. Food was prepared quickly and overall pretty decent. Waitress was friendly. Would recommend trying.
