Breakfast on a slow easy Sunday morning under the catalpa trees. Windows large and inviting us to take in the world. Watching a barge gently flow through the water. A cardinal lands close by, sings a few lines then let 's the doves take the chorus. Kitchen staff sing along with Heart 's How Do I Get You Alone. Service is kind and humorous, 'sit anywhere. Well maybe not where some else is sitting, that may be awkward. ' Regulars chatting, softly no one is invasive. Wait staff are attentive, kindly remembering the locals favorites. A mockingbird stops by to gather stories. A patron leaves and the staff call, 'have a great day. ' The food was cooked perfectly, over medium eggs, crisp country bacon, potatoes and onions. The toast was still warm and had the perfect amount of fat, probably margarine. Coffee was the perfect temperature and not overly bitter. I could drink it black! I hope to come back. Lore: Catalpa has several medicinal uses. It can be made into a tea that is an antidote for snake bites and has also used for a laxative. Catalpa is also known to be a mild narcotic, which is used in curing the “whooping cough.
It's my favorite Japanese show in Owensboro,KY. It's not near my home, but I do cross the state line to get there, because I like it that much.
Great food and you'll have plenty of left overs. the hibachi could learn there tricks better but very good all the same. I also tried the Japanese hooch it was amazing to have.
The best sushi in town, hands down! Consistent and flavorful! The geisha roll and hillbilly roll are outstanding. 8/6 edit I docked them one star because their ?American? food is not worth ordering?the portobello mushroom chicken should have beenbutterflied and didn?t have much flavor?stick to the hibachi and sushi ????????
