The menu is a bit simple, but all the dishes we tried were excellent, but they have nothing else on a sunny day, they lack a trick. The service was very relaxed, but attentive and the entire staff very friendly. The prices are excellent, a great find.
A beautiful, quiet, relaxing atmosphere away from the hectic of Broad Street High Street in Oxford. Very nice food and drinks and nice waiting staff. I'd make another visit.
The menu was very interesting and the food (a meal size salad, a curry) was very good. There was a problem about the starter: the eggs of softly cooked junipers. These were served in the bowl and were very hard to peel without whining everywhere. We had to ask for a finger bowl. The service started well and then became just worse, for no obvious reason. In the end, we couldn't make our waitress think of us even if she was the next table. We called her once when she left. She went on. Finally another waitress helped us. All right.
Excellent pub. Our group of seven really enjoyed it and had a great night. We looked good.
This was our second visit to the Rickety the first being some time ago for Sunday lunch. Cannot fault the service or the food. The menu is a little restricted but just about offers something for everyone's taste. My wife and I both ordered the Flatiron Steaks which were cooked to perfection. Overall we could not fault either the food or the service.
