Thank you for putting up with the 21st birthday group last night! We all had a blast, the food you provided was Devine and you were all SO lovely!! A few of us actually commented on how kind and friendly you all were : so thanks again!!

I travel all round the world regularly and the food here is outstanding and made with love ! That might sound crazy but I really can taste the love genuine desire to please the palate) when ever I have eaten at the stump ! The service and the attention to detail is second to none and I love the fact that they offer such a wide range of food for all smoothies included and don’t forget the delish sweets ! Best kept secret in the Manawatu! Clean clean sparkling cutlery too!

Fantastic!!!! and well worth the drive from Masterton to grab lunch or a Pizza on a Sunday night. The pizzas are the best i have ever come across and always have some to take home as they are very generous in size and toppings! they also make the best garlic bread which may be a small thing to some but i am sick of average garlic breads other places provide and the Black Stump totally nail the garlic bread! Keep up the good work guys really enjoy eating out at the Black Stump!

Nothing short of an incredible restaurant and cafe ALL ROUND!! The coffee is well rounded and beautifully made, with staff paying immaculate and friendly detail to my fussy preferences : I am lactose intolerant and they were so accommodating when I asked them to clean the jug, spoon and steamer first. The baked goods, my gosh to say the least are heavenly! my absolute favorite, the melting moment was perfectly soft and crumbly in the way it should be, and I adored the little passionfruit twist in the icing. I have been several times and all of the baked goods are nothing short of the best homestyle baking I've had (sorry grandma The full menu is intricate and well balanced to suit everyone's tastes. I went with my family as a large group and EVERYONE'S orders came out perfectly cooked, and immaculately presented, and the most important: ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The owners Alison and Graham were wonderfully warm people who truly understand customer service and making your visitors feels welcome and homely. This is one of the best restaurants and cafes I have ever been. I couldn't think of a single complaint :
