Dandy's Cafe - Paris 4e Arrondissement

Came here for a pre birthday drink. Drinks were strong and service was pleasant. Right in the middle of Paris Gay district! Very Lively neighborhood.

Rien d'extraordinaire_Ppeu d'ambiance, service tres long, cocktails pas exceptionnels, toilettes horribles.

Bar sympathique par son ambiance, et accueil. Les cocktails sont vraiment pas mal (pour en avoir essayé plusieurs..). En revanche un peu déçue par la planche de charcuteries/fromages, pour le prix c'est très basique.... nous allons nous contenter d'un verre pour les prochaines fois. Aussi attention, si vous venez en petit groupe, la terrasse vite bondée!

We arrived in Caen with 4 adults and 2 children, hungry and tired. But this is France, so the food should be good no matter where we chose for dinner, right. Not so, especially for the children. Kid's menu of one choice, very grisly beef and roasted potatoes with no ketchup available and no salt--really tough on American kids. The amuse bouche was excellent and gave us hope for the rest of the meal. My gazpacho was a watery watermelon juice with a few bits of tomato. The other's of the party choice of salmon was ok, nothing special. We were all very conscious of minimal seasonings and lack of salt and we are normally very light ingestors of salt. We left feeling disappointed esp. because the restaurant touted its gastronomique excellence. The bill was also questionable, though we weren't sure enough about our understanding of the price of plats to question the individual charges for items we thought were included.
