We looked at pics and reviews of Stokehouse-it seemed like a cute and classy restaurant, but later found that to not be the case. We came here for dinner on a Thursday night and it was packed because the owners had some kind of private party going on which caused our food to take a while to arrive. The owners/private party I guess wanted a mariachi guy to sing live which was WAY too loud. I couldn't even hear myself talk. I wish we left to eat at another place, but we already ordered our food before the loud music started playing. The food was alright but I couldn't enjoy it because of the loud mariachi music (my Apple Watch gave me a notification the sound levels hit a ear damaging decibel level) I wish the owners listened to its customers saying the music was too loud but they didn't. I nearly lost my voice in here because I was yelling over the loud music-this overall ruined my experience at this restaurant. We came to Stokehouse to enjoy a nice dinner in a pleasant ambiance, not to eat in an atmosphere that felt like a concert.
We traveled from Las Vegas and found this gem. Loved the food, the bread was amazing and caprese salad was fresh and flavorful. I would highly recommend coming by for dinner. We all had the special chicken Marsala and pasta seafood and whipped potatoes. Food was fresh and great tasting.
My wife and I arrived on a Wednesday night after some wine tasting and were blown away by our experience at Stokehouse Grill. We sat outside overlooking the beautiful central park of Paso Robles. The wine selection was excellent with several local wines to choose from. For dinner, I had the Ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus which was perfect. My wife had the empanadas for dinner and they were excellent with an array of tastes in each one. I usually don't rave about restaurants but I felt this place deserved it.
Traveling in the Paso Robles area overnight and stumbled upon lovely restaurant. It wasn't very busy when we went in so thought uh oh why isn't it busy like others in the area? We'll let me tell you this place has amazing food. My husband had the guava bbq baby back ribs and I had the chicken piccata. Both out standing. Came out piping hot and delicious. The server was very sweet and attentive as well. Wish I had room to try out the coconut creme brûlée but I was stuffed. . We will definitely come back.
Fabulous find in downtown Paso. I enjoyed one of the best steak dinners ever, with their rib eye. Cooked to perfection and served with asparagus and their cheesy potato pancake sublime! My husband loved the pork chops. Excellent service too.
