Contribuisci feedbackWe were very disappointed to find the restaurant opened from 530 to 730 pm .Not sure what the problem there was. They have to best fish on the island.
Great friendly place with Incredible food. It also has an awesome atmosphere and plenty of cool decorations.
We had a terrible experience here. Food was OK but had a major mix up on pricing. We thought dinner would be about $50 but was $90. When we questioned the owner, Mark was super rude and loud about it. He was unwilling to negotiate or make any effort to make it right.
BEST LAKE ERIE PERCH I HAVE EVER EATEN! Great Margaritaville meets Cottage Country Lake Erie Ambience. The night we were there the place was packed to capacity with locals and birders, but they found us a table and took our order and delivered our food in short order. Staff was friendly, food was excellent, they offered Coca-Cola (always a critical consideration for me) and we got an excellent hands on report on the birds on the island for our entertainment. An unforgettable experience. If you are on the Island, go to the Anchor and Wheel for perch. Period. Full stop.
It was a pleasant surprise! I had the local lake Erie pickerel, broiled, and it was delish! The generous portion of the fish, skin on, was broiled to perfection. It also came with salad, rice, veg and corn. I didn't really know what to expect of the first restaurant we went to on the island, and I have to say that the quality of the food set us up pretty well for the general fantastic food we experienced in the island. As it was a Saturday, they also had their $19.95 buffet that the Hubs gorged himself on. Beef, chicken, pork, veg, pasta, corn, salad, soup. The atmosphere is Florida Keys, with the associated laid back service (aka a bit slow on a busy night).
