Don't believe the TripAdvisor review that claims Crossings Bakery is closed (because it's not). My husband and I visited every day while in Pemberton, and it was fantastic. My favorite treats were the authentic and delicious chocolate lamingtons (without jam in the middle) and the bread, especially the whole wheat loaf. The bread stayed fresh for days and didn't get soggy or hard, even after a week in Esperance. The service was warm and friendly.
Pies were brilliant, wide selection of cakes. Staff helpful and pleasant. Must be good because many locals were over while I decided. Jam donuts yum.
Friendly little city service with all traditional bakery treats and a wide selection of cakes including a number of vegan cakes, coffee was also very good!
Sadly this old icon of Pemberton is very tired. Its interior dining area is closed and has been for a while due to current pandemic. Dust and cobwebs are collecting and there appears to be little tlc for this old bakery which has served us...well for many decades. The pies were ordinary and didn't taste as nice as they did in the past. Muffins were dry and stale. Staff were clearly keen to close up by 2pm. There will always be customers passing through for convenient food but we would chose another place in the town (if we can find one open) on a Sunday lunchtime. The pub was bustling.
