In my experience lobster bisque has a slight sweetness but this was very saltywithout any noticeable sweetness. The French onion soup however was so sweet it was shocking. We shrugged it off thinking it wasmaybe just their take on it and we were looking forward to the main course. At the waiters suggestion we ordered the butcherscut which was a 36oz NY Strip. He said it would be cooked to our liking and then sliced on a board and served with trufflebutter so we could both share it. It sounded good so we ordered it medium with a side of asparagus. When the steak came out thefirst thing I noticed was that I could not see any pink in the slices. On further inspection I found grill marks in between thecuts so it appeared to be cooked, then sliced and then each individual piece was cooked again. It turned out to be betweenmedium well and well done. For the price of the steak I decided that I was going to ask them to bring me another steak. Thewaiter agreed that it was not medium and took it back. The next steak brought out was a total disaster. It had slight charringon the outside and just below that surface was a jerky dry more than well done beef. The most interesting part was that it thentransitioned to a perfect circle down the middle of the steak that was medium rare as if they cooked the meat at a high temp andthe middle was frozen so the result was the disaster that I personally would have been embarrassed to serve to anyone. We tooksome pictures of it just to show some friends because it was impressive that it even left the kitchen (pic attached was with themelted truffle butter so it appears juicy but it was not). We tried one piece each hoping that it would by some chance be tenderenough to eat as now we were really hungry however it was dry around the edges and chewy in
Great Friendly staff, but for a $60 fillet it was under cooked Rare, when asked for it to be cooked a little more (medium Well) it was sent out Well Done and nearly burnt. They apologized and didn?t charge, however after a long day of travel I wanted agood meal was disappointed. The asparagus was great, but sides are $13 each, no sides are included with steaks, but that?sexpected with most high end steak restaurants- however the quality of skill was not equivalent to a high end steak restaurant tomatch the prices charged. We are staying at the Gaylord for 5 days, so far the best food has been the poolside grill ?Sandbar?.
Love this place. It is one of my family?s favorite steakhouses. The service and food is always amazing. We had the three cheese plate, which was outstanding. Our server was able to recommend some cheeses since the menu has changed and been updated. Herrecommendations were so good, we thoroughly enjoyed each choice. The steaks were phenomenal, seasoned greatly, and prepared andcooked well. They offered a complementary dessert for my birthday as well. 10/10 recommend. Will always come back.
This place is amazing! My family loves it! There is Crab Cake, Mac and cheese, and lots more! The waiters are very kind. I totally recommend this place!
Came here because I was staying at the Gaylord Palms for a work related conference. Very well executed dishes and for the area, it was good value you'll get a high end experience at a lower overall cost compared to other places in the area. I tried thelobster busque, 8 oz Filet with truffle butter, a side of creamed spinach and the white chocolate crème brûlée. All wereoutstanding, as was the service. If you're in the area and are looking for a nice steakhouse, you won't go wrong here.
