Always a great experience. Customer service was good and the food is great, as always! Pictured are tacos and quesadillas supreme. Supreme usually comes with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and cheese, but they forgot to add avocados here.
I was not going to write a review for Tacos el Amigo for the longest time. We didn 't want it to get out of hand like El Asador has. That 's where we used to go. We would be two out of the 5 or 6 other diners. It then blew up into the line around the building place it is today. It wasn 't until the local newspaper ran a story on Tacos el Amigo that I changed my mind. The word is out on our very favorite place to get Mexican street food. Tacos el Amigo is not fancy, and it is not trying to be. It is a food truck serving traditional Mexican food. Notice I didn 't say authentic. I don 't like using that word to describe a nationality 's food. Did I grow up there? Did my grandma make these dishes for me? No. Authenticity is for the people whose food it IS to decide. My wish is for people to stop using that word to describe food. Anyhow.....Tacos el Amigo 's food is delicious. That 's what matters. I have eaten most of the food on the menu. I have liked all of it. The kicker is the salad that they bring to the table. (See picture). We put it on everything we eat there. They also bring a red and a green hot sauce to the table and I make everything Christmas style. Give it a try. You won 't regret it, unless you can 't handle the heat. So there you go Pensacola. Tacos el Amigo is in our opinion the best taco truck in town. Go check them out. Just don 't go on Saturday for lunch. That 's when we will be there until it gets too hot to sit outside. At that point go whenever you want.
