It looks like a condiment line on the side for the burger she ordered! This side salad was a joke that I still shocked what it looks like!
The pancakes were lukewarm, not piping hot but not cold either. The value for the price was not great. The Breakfast Sampler had a smaller portion of ham steak and smaller pancakes, but with a higher price. The restaurant was not overcrowded, however there were three tables waiting. The waitress only checked on me once and quickly brought the check within 2 minutes. I felt rushed to leave.
I had a great time at this restaurant. They were a bit busy, but it was expected due to the holidays. Despite the crowd, I was seated quickly. My table was a bit dirty, but it didn't bother me. It seemed like they were short-staffed, which was also expected. Despite that, they did a good job. The only downside was the rude customers at the next table who constantly complained. I felt sorry for my server who had to deal with them. I left him a good tip. I didn't give them 5 stars because the table was still dirty, but overall the staff was friendly and the gluten-free food was of high quality.
In the northwest area of Peoria, there are limited options for restaurants open after 11 am. It was a pleasant surprise to discover that IHOP was open. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The burger was delicious and the chocolate chocolate chip pancakes were delightful. It was exactly what we were looking for.
They were understaffed, food was slow, but proof that great customer service goes a long ways……. 4 stars for effort and kindness from the server. She was super nice and kept us informed as to the happenings with our food and the food was good.
