Right on the harbor, gorgeous view, exceptional service, fine dining seafood, prices to match. There are two restaurants at this location, right next to each other. We chose Restaurant des rochers simply because it seemed more popular. We 're glad we did. Service was wonderful. Most of their customers are local, so translating to English was an adventure. But a fun adventure. Our waiter reached out to other staff to find the one who could best explain the dishes. We got to meet them, and get to know them a little. Great fun. We ordered an eclectic mix of seafood dishes. The mixed seafood salad included salmon, shrimp, prawns, vegetables, cauliflower of many colors and super fresh tomatoes. The fish in a clay pot was cooked perfectly. It was a small portion. Fish,, tomatoes, sauce, garnished with thin radish slices. Wonderful. Maybe it wasn 't a clay pot. Maybe it was metal. But it was small, and had that Asian inspired clay pot feel to it. And finally I was able to order some langoustines! The plate was half langoustines and half prawns. Not the king prawns that first called out to me from the menu (the kitchen was out of king prawns , and not the large langoustines that were also on my bucket list (again, the kitchen was out . But I had been wanting to try the langoustines in *some* form, and here they were. This plate was perfectly prepared, but I learned two things: 1 langoustines and prawns are both peel and eat dishes. Which isn 't quick. In fact, everyone at the table needs to have patience while the one person sets out to undo all the shellfish. Geez this takes a long time. And 2 The langoustines and prawns are served with mayonnaise. Not melted butter. Not cocktail sauce. Mayonnaise. They 're very proud of their house made mayonnaise. I 'm not so much a fan of dipping my seafood into mayonnaise. ... Oh well. I 'm living and learning. But the winning dish was the fish with rice. (Sounds simple, doesn 't it? The crispy fish was filleted and baked whole. The rice came in a small vintage pan, with cheese and a sauce that actually made this one of our favorite dishes of the whole trip. It was that good. ... Really. That good. (can I go back now please? : The prices were kind of steep. In keeping, I guess, with the harborside location and white tablecloth service.
Menu at 38 and 58 €,cher regarding quality and quantity,on is very far from a gourmet restaurant, not to listen to the remarks, beautiful presentation and super view on the port,
