The cheesesteak was an experience, it comes with champagne!! Really though, I cannot think of a time I had more delicious lobster. The steak is unreal too
Server was really knowledgeable and friendly made us feel welcomed. We decided to try their steaks this time and the wagyu was worth it all. Amazing taste and just melts. We also tried their shoestring onions which were like battered Deep fried onions and went well with our steak. My partner had rib eye she enjoyed it but said she would get the wagyu next time. We definitely recommend Barclay they did not let down.
This is the second time visiting Barclay Prime. The overall experience was very good. Great service (thanks Matthew) and very good ambiance with extremely comfortable seating. Tried true Japanese wagyu beef for the first time. It was very good but didn’t seem worth the $200 for 5 ounces. The rest of the food (tuna tartare, Kennett Square mushrooms, potato au gratin, truffle mac n cheese, hot chocolate chip cookie with pistachio ice cream) was very well made and tasty. Overall, I would say very good, but not great.
Absolutely loved my dining experience with a few friends for a birthday! Food is amazing. All of our dishes were delicious however the hamachi from the raw bar was my favorite. Sea food lovers go for the Striped bass and Truffle Mac is a must try! Ambiance gives quaint elegant dinner party feels within a library, really enjoyed my experience.
What an evening and what a meal! Let me start off by saying this is not your stereotypical, by the book steakhouse. Barclay Prime is a beautiful, modern steakhouse and very impressive. You will not see the dark lighting, private, more quiet booths here instead a more modern layout with couches, swivel chairs and a much louder experience (our only complaint). We had the tuna tartare to start, melt in your mouth tuna with incredible flavor. For our entree, we split the porterhouse (he wanted the strip and me the filet so it was the best of both), which,my God, was an amazing cut of meat and perfectly cooked. For sides, the shoestring onions were amazing (seriously, get them) and the tater tots (not your stereotypical ones…totally also get these). To end the meal, we split the three baked cookie (oatmeal, sugar, and chocolate chip in a dish) which was great but honestly just wish it was all chocolate chip. Great meal. Can’t wait to come back.
