Great atmosphere. Come with a great comfy temperature. Wait staff very accommodatingFood was great and fresh across the board. Sushi was flavorful and fresh. Appetizers were great Great stop. Worth the price.
Absolutely wonderful addition to both the Philly sushi scene and the overall Sushi by Bou family. I usually visit the various NYC locations and was excited to see a new opening in another beloved city. The fish was incredibly fresh with unique touches and flavors added to bring out the special qualities of each. While the sushi is almost always amazing at these restaurants, for me, the chefs and dining staff really made the experience. The chefs were friendly, fun, energetic, and happily explained the background of each dish. An overall delightful experience that is now probably my favorite Sushi by Bou. We will be going back!
This used to be a really excellent spot when it was called Izakaya by Yanaga but Mr. Yanaga left to be a chef at a Stephen Starr restaurant in another part of town. Since then the food quality has gone down, which is particularly tragic for the ramen which used to be one of the best in town. Now the ramen has very little flavor and just tastes oily. The happy hour portions are also cut down so you 're not getting a real deal compared to regular service. Real bummer because when this place opened it was awesome.
Absolutely incredible experience! Every course shined, we only wish we had had a little more time in between each course to really savor each. Would go back in a heartbeat! Mitsu and team were wonderful hosts.
