Contribuisci feedbackIncredibly disappointing! This restaurant used to be fantastic, 12 years ago I had an amazing experience, but this time, I was appalled after eating at a steakhouse where the side dishes were far better than the steak. I am sure the meat was good, but it was horribly cooked, I invited friends from out of town and all of our steaks were charred-burned on the outside ruining them completely. All we could taste was burned meat. Horrible experience, I will never return.
The salad and entrees were both perfectly prepared and well presented. Unfortunately, the au gratin potatoes were served cold and had to be returned. Overall it was still an enjoyable evening but not quite up to Morton's usual standards.
Happy Hour in the Bar. Morton's is a class act whether you are dining in the main dining room or sitting in the bar. Everyone goes out of their way to ensure your dining experience is wonderful. Tonight we tried the Wagu Smash Burger, special for May. It did not disappoint. Joey, our server made sure everything was perfect and we were able to enjoy a leisurely evening. with great food and wine.
Service was terrible. Hostess was so sweet and nice, but the waiter was rude and very annoyed we were there. Maybe he was having a bad night, but I wouldn't want someone to spend their hard earned money here.
The staff was lovely and the bread delicious. We had the bacon wrapped scallops to start with and my husband had the wagyu ribeye which was buttery and so tender and delicious. The truffle fries are delicious! I had the filet and lobster . Filet was a perfect medium rare but the lobster didn't seem full cooked and had too many mushy grainy parts to make it enjoyable for more than a few bites. The manager was very kind and took it off without me asking. We also had the chocolate lava cake which is fabulous and I enjoyed a glass of the Austin Hope Cab. Overall if was a very good dinner.
