And a personal fav for my friends was the Mexican pizza. The best with hamburger.Vegetarian options: Bean and cheese burritos and no meat pizzaParking: Parked my but inside
No idea what all the great reviews are about. We went there looking for menudo and supposedly great Mexican food and great service. We got neither. First we were left waiting for a while even though the place was almost empty. When we were able to order, got menudo, caldo de res, barbacoa burrito, chile verde burrito plate and a carne asada taco. Service was not the best, young people walking around without even looking at patrons, had to repeat each item twice to the young woman taking our order, and as we discovered later, she forgot to add the barbacoa burrito and when we asked, she had to order it so we ended up taking it to go. Food took a long time to get to us, again, there were only 4 more customers in the place. They never brought us silverware or napkins, my husband had to get up and take them from the counter. When we finally got the menudo, which was the only thing with a passable flavor, we asked for oregano and the young man brought us red pepper flakes, we asked for lime and he said we had a knife...had to repeat several times everything we asked for before he understood, his responses were monotone and his demeanor like a toy without batteries. They also forgot the bread for the soup. Everything was flavorless; the rice had a nice color and cooked well except had no flavor, not even salt. The caldo de res, there was a huge chunk of beef in the bowl, a lot of tendons and didn't taste like anything, again missing even salt, the broth didn't have any flavor, had to add salt, pepper, oregano, onion, cilantro and finally the salsa they had brought for the tostadas to make it edible. The green Chile burrito was soggy and didn't taste like Chile at all. Needless to say, after spending so much, we took pretty much everything to go to try fix it at home with some spices. I will never be back.
They are never there. always closed. been by 3 times now.... they are never there???
Great breakfast, wonderful service and people. Highly recommend. Huevos Rancheros were delicious.
My partner and I ordered a menudo and horchata both. The menudo had so much rich flavor when everything was added together with fresh flour tortillas on the side. So far the best menudo I ever had in Arizona. The waitress was so welcoming and kind hearted, she even let two people come in after they closed and did not rush them and told them to take their time. Such a great way to present yourself to new comers. I will be returning as a new local customer, thank you for great hospitality and service!
