We spent the evening at the attached Hilton Garden and decided to try the Revel for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. We both had what was equivalent to a Breakfast Smile. Price was $14x2. Both the potato chunks and two slices of bacon were deep fried. I would give a zero on the presentation, although it was edible. We had higher expectations for a restaurant attached to a Hilton, even when having a basic breakfast.
We arrived for our reservation and were told the table wasn’t yet ready. As we waited for about a half hour we noticed it was because the table we were waiting for was still covered in dirty dishes and waiting a long time for their credit cards to be taken. If you know you have another party coming in, you should be taking care of turning that table over. The hostess finally had to take care of their payment and clean the table. The only other person we saw was a busser, I believe, who was clearing the table a couple glasses at a time with no tray. When we finally sat down, we waited at least a half hour with not one acknowledgment from any server or employee. We finally got up and left. A manager was nowhere to be found. As we walked back to our hotel to try to find a place to eat for our large party at 9:30pm, the manager called and asked us to come back and she would ensure we were well taken care of. We declined. You can tell when a restaurant is either poorly staffed or poorly run and this appeared to be both. The only person who was working hard to take care of customers was the hostess who was very apologetic. I do not recommend this place when there are so many other good restaurants in the city.
Family stop by for Sunday Bruch on the way to the Christmas Market. My son really enjoyed his chicken and waffles with hot sauce. My wife’s breakfast sandwich was good but not great, a little over priced $15.00) for what it was. Finally my smoked salmon bagel was good with the potential to be great. The salmon was fresh and delicious especially with the pickled onions. However, when you have to open your bagel to confirm whether it was toasted and if cream cheese was on it, the answer is self evident. My wife and I got breakfast potatoes which were not greasy and definitely delicious . The server did a good job of keeping us happy and was attentive of our needs.
This is an amazing venue for any special occasion. The food was delicious and the room was incredible. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly. Parking is right next door at the Hilton Garden Inn parking garage. This is a very popular parking garage. Don't give up! Keep going up to find a parking spot. Ample parking on floor 10 and 11. Elevators will take you to the Roost.
