Petra Wine - Placer County

The schedule was full and I went to the restaurant very late. Still warmly received our group of 6 people. At the end of the meal, we were the only guests left. The service staff still thoughtfully told us to enjoy our dinner slowly.

Best food in the North Star Village. Many good options for everyone and a great wine selection. Have been back multiple times, every time the service, food and wine are amazing. Kid-friendliness: Very kind and patient wait staff.

Found this gem while checking out the ice rink. Had the bavette with frites highly recommend. I dont know much about wine but their recommendations were exactly what we wanted. Thank you!

I asked for a Malbec, and the staff searched the wall racks of wine and poured us a French Malbec. I've never had a French Malbec, so it was nice to see and experience a variety. My companion is an exclusive meat and potato eater, so imagine my surprise when he ordered not 1 but 2 servings of the butternut squash ravioli! Honestly, the ravioli were so good. I ordered the vegetarian morrocan tagine. Both dishes were delicious but the ravioli...get the ravioli, ijs!

This is one of those places that you'll avoid in all future trips. Portions are too small, prices are too high, and a very limited menu. The service was like in a small town dive bar... the server borderline rude. Might be good to go just for the wine.
