Basic Foodie - Playa del Carmen

I'm a loyal customer of Basic Foody since he opened his doors in the original bakery on the Carretera and since then bought her San Francisco Sauerteig. When the owners (the French baker's wife and her Mexican husband) moved to the USA, the quality has decreased. It used to be a bakery full of freshly prepared handmade breads and pastries, now it is mainly a coffee shop, with minimal bakery offers. At first, the San Francisco Bread was no longer the artisanal crust, but it looked like wonder bread, Pan de caja, then the sourdough flavor reduced, now it hardly tastes like sourdough, and finally the last foliage looked different, was tasteless and broken when you cut it (se desmorona). The French baker is ashamed to bring out such a product. Did they release their sour starters (Mutterkultur/cultivó madre), have they changed the recipe? What's going on? Do the original owners still possess this facility? If so, they have to visit quality standards and reestablish them. By the way, the loaf in question costs $220 pesos or $11.00 dollars. The manager told me he'd give me a free deaf if the last one wasn't good. He owes a foliage, but what I really want is a quality San Francisco sourdough. Not the same basic food we loved,

We were expecting to see a beautiful bakery with artisan bread, croissants, pastries ect. based on the pictures posted . We went around 10:30 to get some baguettes and baked goods and to our greatest surprise they told us they wouldnt receive them until 11:30...or noon! The staff wasn't friendly. Our first ever experience with a bakery that doesn't have bread or baked goods before noon! First chance and last chance :

Neighbourhood artisan cafe counter self clean service. Excellent espresso and bakery both to eat in (wifi) or take out. Loved the atmosphere and the staff are lovely. Stopping in to grab a baguette or to meet up for breakfast or coffee.

Pocas veces comentó negativamente, fui el día de hoy a comprar a las 4:30 pm y el empleado que está ahí es un despota, pedí información y sus respuestas totalmente pedante; al final pedí dos baguettes, le entregué el dinero, dejó el cambio el el aparador y el trabajador se puso a acomodar unas botellas de agua.En ningún momento me dio el cambio, ni mis productos. Al ser totalmente ignorado por el empleado, le dije -tomaré mi cambio y mi pan; lo que el respondió de una forma grosera - uh huhTuve que pasar del mostrador para tomar mi producto y mi cambio. El lugar es bueno, sin embargo es una lástima que por el personal la visita al lugar sea desagradable.
