Not sure where they buy their Tuna, but the best thing it could be used for is Tuna Salad. Its cheap for a reason. Sushi Club is down the street go there.
Huge sign advertising combos at a good price tiny fine print that they are available 1-5, tempoura very fat battery away too heavy, not like tempoura at all, waiter looked at me and doubled tip on card-miso suppe was ok
I love sushi, but I find that places like Sushitto and Sushi Roll are fairly expensive for what you get. Sushi Ken is much cheaper and equally as delicious. They have promotions most days of the week where you can get 2 for 1 rolls,...3 for 2 rolls, free dessert, etc. I love tampico rolls and sushi ken has a whole section on the menu dedicated to tampico. I ordered tampico nevado, tampico roll, and special tampico roll, as well as the japaleño roll. All were delicious. My boyfriend ordered steamed rice with tampico and chicken katsu, which he loved. For dessert we had tempura ice cream with strawberry sauce, which was an excellent price. We went back everyday. If you haven't tried sushi in Mexico, I would recommend it because it is different from sushi in Canada and the US. For example, in Mexico there is soy sauce with lime and jalapeños that one can try, as well as ponzu sauce on the table. Tampico is something that isn't offered outside of Mexico as well. Service was always great at Sushi Ken. It should be noted that they don't sell alcoholic beverages here.
The food was fresh tasty, nicely presented, and reasonably priced. My only complaints are that they do not serve alcohol and the wasabi was not hot enough lol
