Four of us had a really lovely meal here. Busy Friday evening but still efficiently run and there was a nice ambience. Sarah very attentive and accommodating and waiting staff all very pleasant and wanting to make the experience enjoyable. Service excellent. Lovely canapés. Rib eye steak was exceptional.All the food was very well presented and very tasty. Highly recommended. Thank you.
Dorset can relax ! They're BACK ! I am delighted to say that not only are they back, they're better than ever. My son and I dined at Isabel's Brasserie last night and it was terrific. Great service from all the girls. Sarah handles the front of house with skill and diplomacy and Justin's cooking is imaginative and brilliantly executed. They're open for lunch and dinner, so get yourselves round there and sample their delicacies immediately ! Julian Holloway
Place is very popular, and the food is very good. Service is excellent, with food offered in a very nice presentation style. Yet while the decor is part French, its not classical. food is not really French, or regional French in terms of the menu. The crêpes are over filled for French cuisine for example. Compared to the popular chains such as COTE, which managed to produce French style for the masses this seems strange. The use of booths is very effective in keeping the noise to a reasonable level. In terms of use of herbs, their seem to use local sources, even for the garlic. Sorry but English garlic is just not suited to a French restaurant.
Thrilled that Isabel's has reopened. We had a Sunday lunch there and it was superb food was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. A couple of the waiting staff were obviously fairly new but they were polite and attentive. All in all, a very good experience.
