West-wind Pub - Port Alberni

Was ok, had the jambalaya with rotini noodles. I didn't have to wait long and the waitress was nice and came to check on me to make sure I was happy, but didn't over do it so I'd go back their again Although, if it's busy you'll be waiting a while for a refill. Me and my fiend had gone here before and I had to go up and get another one.

St.Pattie 's Day in Port Alberni! A group of 4 of us met another four at the Westwind. We got there early for dinner and by 7pm the pub side was full up. Easy to see why, the food is awesome and the beers (I was told..I dont drink) are great. Specials every night. A couple of us ordered the Monday burger special. I couldn 't believe it but a handmade burger party on a toasted bun, smothered in mushrooms and melted cheese for only $7.95! I had a bite and it was perfectly done. I had the fajitas which were spicy, lots of fixings on the side and very satisfying. It 's not fine dining, but it 's too good to call pub grub . And I have to mention, the server we had was busting her butt. She had the whole room assisted by a food runner abs a bar tender. The kitchen was fast and we all left happy (except for the Canucks loss that we sat through). Oh, and the washrooms were nice and clean. I put HUGE importance on that as I think it reflects on the entire restaurant.

This comfortable pub was a great place to stop for lunch and sit by the giant stone fireplace for a bit. HUGE menu and it was very hard to decide what to eat. My colleagues had fish n chips and loved it and I had a pulled pork sandwich that was tasty and worth the price, which was modest. Portions were large and service was very quick and efficient. These Island folks are friendly...

Second time here Had cesear pasta salad Was real crappy and way to many onions Was designated driver and had to pay for every pop i had to drink Even though we ordered meal Last time here for me service was the shits as well

Went on Halloween. Loved the decorations and the service was awesome! It's obvious the employees love it there too they were dancing in the aisles!!
