Although black beans is a beautiful restaurant with good service, I was disappointed with the change of the menu that very few inexpensive entrees offered. the only thing that were affordable were two pasta dishes at $19.00 and $24.00 or the portions were only sufficient (taste was tasty) I decided to have the beet salad and it was quite small and cost $14.00 the previous menu had high ende entrees if they wanted to spend a lot of money, but there was a wonderful selection of less expensive items. my favorite thing was to sit bar with a friend or two, order wein and the appetizer platter that is no longer on the menu. I will not return.
Black beans still have large tasting steak, which is always cooked to perfection (I find that hard to get to most steak houses). it is a quiet location that would be perfect for a date, jubilee or just one night outside.
Always a pleasure to dine on the bean! warm and friendly, feels like home. one of our favs!
This was a great dining experience for two. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, but discreet. The arrived in good time and tasted fantastic. It was good meal at a fair price (around $50 pp starter and entre), will definitely be going back.
