Extensive hot and cold deli, packed salads and wraps, chips, cheese, small sweets that are organic and fair trade and low sugar and coconut sugar and gluten-free and all the things you feel better about eating dessert today. I have the green peas and bacon salad, a hard boiled egg and a chocolate truffle thing. We drove in the sun directly on the parking lot and enjoyed the occupation of characters rolling past.
I've been in PT for about 35 years, so I've seen this Co-Obrow. I love shopping in the co op and always find something interesting. I like the variety of teas and dark chocolates they wear. I'm sorry that the health beauty section was made smaller because that was my favorite part, but understand that it makes sense with limited space. Here you will find local bakery products, very fresh products and delicious snacks and delicacies. Very recommended! and they have promoted the ecological green options for years and the fee for the co op is just a few dollars.
If you are looking for local, organic or special items, it is here. Do you need natural options? It is here in health and wellness. Would you like to see your coffee beans or nuts before you are freshly ground? Do you want enough herbs or loose tea for a single use? Bulk too. Raw milk, local eggs, meat, honey, bread, jam or a meal cooked in the house? Co-op. Biscuits and engraving at 8 a.m. daily. Oh, yeah, that's a GROCERY store. Local organic products, someone? I love this place.
Wish it had a seating area like almost all other co-ops in Puget Sound, but otherwise grandios!
Great grocery alternative in Port Townsend. Independently owned and operated for decades. If you like PCC or Trader Joe, you'll love Food Co-op.
