The Paper Crane In Wilm - Porters Neck

This Chinese restaurant is my favorite. Unfortunately, they only offer delivery or pick-up. I am happy to pick up my food and enjoy it in the comfort of my own home. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. If you haven't tried this place yet, I highly recommend it.

What happened to the Paper Crane? I recently visited Wilmington expecting to have a nice dining experience. However, when I arrived, I was disappointed to see that all the tables had been pushed aside and boxes were stacked on them, leaving no dining area. The restrooms were also out of order. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on, especially since Covid was no longer a valid excuse. I placed my order and waited standing up the entire time. When my food finally arrived, I decided to eat it elsewhere and was not impressed. The shrimp and steak Phoenix dish was too spicy to enjoy, the egg drop soup was too watery, the shrimp fried rice only had four small pieces of shrimp, and the noodles in another dish were overcooked to the point of being mushy. I ended up spending over $40 on lazy, tasteless food. The Paper Crane needs to make some changes or they won't survive. I will not be returning.
