Wednesday night is THE pub quiz to be at…We are regulars at the quiz ‘The mighty Vikings’ and the whole team at the Golden Hind ensure that every week ALL customers whether taking part in the quiz or not are looked after. Shout out to Kat particularly who ensures it is seamless. Ed, the quiz host is a master at his work and can’t be faulted. Always a good atmosphere here and the staff are lovely. Came in for psychic night and the ticket included food and a drink, which was excellent value. Shout out to Allen, Tom , Ben and the two ladies (sorry I didn’t catch your names) who worked hard all night.

The food and drinks were excellent. I will definitely go back and would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

I ordered a main dish at the restaurant and was very disappointed. The service was friendly, but the portions were very small. I can only comment on the dish I ordered, the sirloin steak, but the fact that I was offered an extra drink (which I declined) indicates that the staff may be embarrassed by the portion sizes. Overall, the staff was nice but I would not dine here again.

I was extremely disappointed with the meal my family had at Golden Restaurant for a birthday dinner on April 16th, 2022. The chicken cake was tough and the chicken was undercooked. The roast beef had a pink and cold center, and the stuffed balls were also hard. Overall, we were not impressed with the food quality. Please take note before booking a table here.
