We started in the Heart Mountain Interpretive Center and then migrated around the grounds where, still standing, were barracks and the hospital. Two hours later we were hot, thirsty and hungry. So we went to Pepe's to get some Mexican food. Sis ordered the Smothered Beef Burrito with rice and beans. I chose the Al Pastor Chicken Taco with rice and beans. The food was tasty, the Burrito gigantic, the hard peeled taco filled to overflow and, with the addition of the sides, yes... We took both boxes home to be enjoyed later. The staff was friendly, and the only drawback was the small room filled with small tables, and very little in the type of ambience. It reminded me of my old school dining room. Still... The food is worth a trip!!
Excellent food with friendly service and reasonable prices. The pork chili was outstanding. I had breakfast there and would definitely return if I didn't live out of state.
Fantastic breakfast! Be sure to come hungry when you order, as the portions are quite large and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this spot for your morning meal!
Fantastic breakfast!!! It's wonderful to find places that offer a generous portion of food at an excellent price, all accompanied by outstanding service!
