Visiting this area and discovered this restaurant in my map app. Photos of the food looked good so I decided to give takeout a try. This place DID NOT DISAPPOINT! You can taste the love in this food. I had the Maryland Hot Chicken Sandwich and the Heavenly Heat Mac and Cheese. The generous portions and perfectly spiced food was delicious. Even though you may be full, don't pass up Miss Edna's Pound Cake. I saved this for breakfast this morning- the buttery, lemon, melt in your mouth dessert will put a smile on your face.
This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars! The food, the service, EVERYTHING was incredible! My husband planned a mini getaway for the two of us. We had dinner at The Holy Hell Kitchen, and we LOVED everything from the time we stepped through the door. They made us feel welcome. The food was so delicious. We started out with the biscuits, and OMG, they melted in your mouth so so good. I had the shrimp and grits, and my husband had the pork chop. We usually don't share food, but it was so good we wanted each other to try the dish! Do yourself a favor and have dinner at The Holy Hell Kitchen! We will be back very soon. This time we're bringing more people with us!
The chicken was good. After waiting an hour that is.... We ordered and we were told that there would be a five minute wait for potatoes. It was not a five minute wait for potatoes, it was about a 45 minute wait for the food.... The sides leave a lot to be desired. The potatoes are pretty good but, the mac cheese is dry. How is a macaroni and cheese with five cheeses dry? I am mind blown. But, the chicken was good. Also, besides the wait, the customer service was good. They were very nice and they gave us a piece of their cake for the wait.
Such a great place! Everyone is incredibly friendly and it feels like eating at a friend's place. The food is amazing, had the fried green tomatoes (I ate them before taking photo they were delicious) and the hot chicken and waffles *chefs kiss* so good. Arguably the best fried chicken in Southern Maryland. Brunch is awesome, but definitely make reservations if you can as it gets busy. Can't wait to come back
